| Lost World Bears |
These are the Scotts Valley's last two Grizzly Bears! The bears were originally part of the Lost World amusement attraction. When Lost World closed, the bears were donated to the Historical Society. Throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, one of the bears would would be included in the Historical's Society's contingent in the Scotts Valley Days parade. The bears were also involved in a few college pranks!
About 1995, the bears were restored and given some permanent territory beneath the large oak tree at MacDorsa Park. |
